rating places to study at the library

 noot latte ~ library seats

back to school szn is upon us, and ive been visiting the library more than ever before. throughout my various study sessions, ive compiled the pros and cons of different seating areas.

DISCLAIMER: images provided dont rlly show the study spot accurately, but are there so u get a vague idea of what area i mean

1. The Reading Room

PROS:
- this is probably the prettiest of the locations ill be rating today, so thats a major pro
- right near the door, allowing for fresh air
- comfy chairs
- nice lighting + outlets
- good privacy , each row of desks separated by bookshelves

CONS:
- since its right near the entrance, its not exactly the most quiet spot
- pretty popular, and limited seats (u gotta be lucky to get a spot here)
- near escalator, so theres constant movement

FINAL RATING: 4.5/5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️*

2. Children's area seats

PROS:
- lighting is eerie / qwerty. fun to shake things up
- there is a dino cutout on each desk
- lamps are nice + 2 outlets per desk
- divider between desks + desk has a top (feels like u are in a little nook/cave)

CONS:
- childrens section is kinda loud
- you are rlly low to ground
- will probably see someone you know
- overall just not great very tiny everything made for kids

FINAL RATING: 2/5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️

3. Newspaper / magazine area

PROS:
- right by floor-to-ceiling windows for nature view (2nd prettiest spot)
- pretty quiet
- not busy at all, nice large lamps and high quality table
- qwerty area tbh feels like a fever dream

CONS:
qwerty area tbh feels like a fever dream
- randos sit and read newspaper and clear their throat
- only like 3 study tables, u will most likely b only one studying (in case u need other ppl to help u be productive)
- very bright/natural light (con for me since i like a cozier vibe)

FINAL RATING: 4/5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

4. Teen Studio

PROS:
- so many desks and areas to study
- good lamps/outlets
- comfy chair and normal chair options for variety
- quiet
- feels hidden away/disconnected from main part of library, not many distractions

CONS:
- very popular study spot
- once again may attract ppl u know

note: this is a good place to hunker down and get it down, but nowhere near as fun as locations such as reading room

FINAL RATING: 4/5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

5. The upstairs seating (Non-fiction area)

*couldnt find image but u know what i mean*

PROS:
- chairs are those super comfy office spinny chairs
- upstairs, so quietest location so far
- many different tables

CONS:
- kinda scary atmosphere, ppl who go here are GRINDING
- desks are silver and nothing is cute
- for some reason i dont like the vibe

FINAL RATING 3/5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

6. Children's computer lab

PROS: none
CONS: why are u even there. pls bring ur laptop

FINAL RATING: 0/5 stars

7. Upstairs computer lab
